Hypocrite 01:42
Hypocrite I sit and bitch about my fucking job about my daily witness to the miserable woe is me and the days I keep when half of them have nowhere to sleep but do I really care when I go home every day? my pedestrian despair is illegitimate I’m a hypocrite I can say I’ve been there but here I want to stay I’m drowning in my fear it’s not that intricate I’m a hypocrite keeping busy with all my goals feeling proud about my different roles paying my bills with their torment when I should foster malcontent
2.
Just a Gimmick you claim their role is ersatz, in the lead their words and fashion their expression and identity unsettles your mind unearths ignorance the power of their voice drowns your disregard your neglected brain harbors by-gone thoughts about different leads as just a worthless stunt they’re not for real they’re all for show the band is cool but it’s a gimmick beware your claims are nothing but disrespect what you profess is fear of the few become aware of your prejudice
3.
Distorted 01:50
Distorted it’s not you you’re insecure and paranoid distrust is poisonous twisted through hatred causes pain corrupts your view challenge the toxic thoughts in your mind mirrors in your mind perspective all askew shatter your distorted view
4.
In Your Place grasping at hope meant to attain but what is granted only restrains in a debtor’s prison bound by credit’s chains the threat of unemployment injects dread into your veins all the people neatly in their place unequal means meant to debase the respite of baited loans disguised to reassure are just the fucking rich feeding off the poor
5.
What We’ve Wrought hatred towards the unknown death is what we’ve sown frustration builds beyond my dismay cause we kill everything in our way destruction of earth and land depletion of every drop on hand anger at what we’ve wrought the end is what we have bought safe and complacent in your nice safe home your only actions on your smartphone choking the earth with what we consume our desires are shaping our tomb hounded by the state crippled by corporate constraint anxiety grows everyday fighting to find a way awaken to the desperate need take action against misdeeds power seems out of sight but resistance is key, not contrite
6.
Petty Semantics Look underfoot, what do you see? Anesthetic for cure? a poisonous weed? Look at an animal how do you feel? Do you desire a pet or a meal? Who is that woman you’re talking about? Is she a bitch or is she a mother? How do you label that man? your rapist or your lover? You say they’re just words And petty semantics But fuck your lazy Apathetic detachment.
7.
Wasteland 02:01
Wasteland Here comes the wasteland the punk rock dream with brutal competition as elementary means apocalyptic post so fetishised is just around the corner our doing, our demise cause we’ve learned nothing in our sloth and greed all life for profit creature, rain and seed If we don’t learn to tame our wants we’d better learn survival for when they are gone
